Northern Saw-Whet Owl
A winter migrant in southern Ontario, the Northern Saw-Whet is a very small owl, and feeds mainly on mice and voles. They roost in pines and thick bush during the day, and hunt in fields at night.

a multi-layered panning background
Our main layout project in the fall term was to create a multi-layered panning background of our choice. I made one that would match my action analysis for DQ's animation class.
I chose something I was comfortable doing, and planned each step out, saving many times along the way. I drew inspirations mainly from Bambi and Over The Garden wall layouts and backgrounds and my own experiences in the woods.
This was one of my favourite projects so far! I think it turned out alright, I would change somethings, but nothing major. Probably play with colour and lighting more.
Final painted layout
